EMILY DONALD
Emily Donald is a UK artist based in Newquay, Cornwall. After studying Art and Design for a number of years, Emily went onto specialise in Printed Textile Design at the University of East London. Emily draws influence from street art, pop art and the surf/skate scene aesthetic which is combined with her background in textile design to produce colourful work full of pattern and texture created using pen & ink, spray paint, print and collage.
As an avid traveller, Emily draws inspiration for her work from the places she has visited and she uses wildlife, most often birds, to capture the energy of a moment remembered from her world travels. Emily’s style has also been impacted by time spent in other countries, especially with the use of ink, fluid lines and bold outlines that is reminiscent of traditional Asian artwork.
Emily has had work exhibited across the UK and recently painted at Upfest in Bristol.
